Real Estate Agents Who Care About Branding Sell More

If you are a real estate agent, how many people would currently remember your name to recommend you for their friends? If you are a broker, are your agents recommended? 

I asked a few friends: could you name a real estate agent you’d like to work with if you needed one.

Everyone named a person, and the real estate broker brand they work for. Most of them added something like “... I follow her on Instagram” or “probably such and such from LinkedIn”, naming a social media channel where they follow their favorite real estate agent. None of my friends were in a need of a real estate agent at the moment.

Our client, Kiinteistömaailma, is the largest realtor company in the Nordics. One of their secrets to success is their recognizable branding, and because so many of their real estate agents consistently create and publish branded marketing content (read more). 

Perhaps one the reasons you prefer working under a known real estate company and a broker, is that you don’t want to build your own brand from ground up.

Does the brand give a feeling of “safe” or “exciting”?

Does the branding voice out affordability or luxury?

Do you do business in a way that you take time with each customer, or is speed your biggest competitor edge? 

While you want to appeal to a large group of customer base, they will choose your brand over another because your brand aligns with their needs. (“I want a trustworthy agent who can help me sell my luxury apartment fast.” or “We need someone who is willing to take time to find us the best deal in the neighborhood we can barely afford.”)

The company/broker brand and real estate agent’s personal brand should complement each other.
